Welcome to the home of the Huguenot Volunteer Fire Department in Powhatan County, Virginia! We're a progressive, well-trained, motivated group of volunteers serving the eastern portion of our rural/suburban county, providing 24/7 response to all hazards.

 

VIRGINIA'S BURN LAW IS NOW IN EFFECT

From February 15th through April 30th, the open-air burning in the Commonwealth is limited until after 4PM, and no fuels can be added to the fire after 12AM.  There are a number of other limitations to the law, please see the Department of Forestry website for additional information.
